man I am glad I haven't read the books yet...

I got this quote from another forum

Maybe next week will be a Walking Undead crossover episode. That'll pull the type of mouth breathing simpletons they're trying to attract now apparently. Unnecessary ratings grab go

I'm not sure they need 'ratings grabs' considering it's the highest rated show on HBO since the Soprano's finale.

I think the people raging over the north stuff being different from the books aren't considering that this poo is probably from the future books.

Now that I think about it I'm not surprised the show is spicing up Bran's boring trip north, but I dont really want to see a Jon/ Bran reunion.

This episode looked like they wanted to keep book readers on their toes, starting out with a "are they really about to give a love interest to a guy with no dick" and ending with "HOLY poo WE JUST SAW THE WHITE WALKERS HOUSE"

AND WAS THAT DUDE THE NIGHT KING????

I think you might be right, they very well may be trying to keep book readers guessing. This episode was okay, not great, not bad. I've been pretty disappointed with this episode and last week's.

That final walker they showed did have sort of a crown on his head. In the books (if I remember correctly) the Night's King was killed, but they could be changing that as well. Or he could be just their leader.

I thought it was a fuging epic episode.

Sure, they went way off canon, but they kinda had to to delay Bran's storyline a bit... eager to see how that plays out... If I had to guess I would bet that they'll have him warg into Hodor or someone and kill off the mutineers' leader while they make their escape... Glad to see Jojen showing signs of his sickness...

Also, that was a pretty fuging epic ending, and I am glad they went there.

I'm also intrigued by how fast Dany took Mereen.

Absolutely loved the Jaime/Brienne stuff.

So/so on the Margaery/Tommen stuff.

Okay with the Jon stuff.

TBQH they did a lot in this episode that would indeed cut the entire run of the series down in length.

If you think about it, there isn't too much more between now and the end of ADWD that couldn't be covered in this season and early next. Minus the Greyjoy stuff, they are already pretty well on the verge of ADWD territory with most of the story...

This season is moving along great.  Much better than the previous season where it seemed a lot of time was put into the build up to the red wedding.

I would think Tywin will be pissed off when he learns Jaime gave that sword to Brienne.

If Brienne and Pod are off to protect Sansa, where the hell are they going?  No one knows where she went, Winterfell is in ruins and the north is probably the worst place she could go.  They have to start somewhere.

They have some adventures and might introduce some other characters

Also, why didn't Bran just warg into the deserter's leader and fug everyone up?  I believe they stated he was the best fighter of the group.  One of the guys made a comment to Hodor about how he'd be king of the world if he was his size.  I can see Bran warging (is that a word?) into Hodor and tossing everyone around like ragdolls.

Yes, but they have to have somewhere to go right?  I mean, just the basics - are they going north, south, east or west?

They don't know where she has gone. So they follow rumors and whatnot. Hopefully we get to at least briefly meet Samwell's dad
