I just wanted to thank this thread for introducing me to the world of Westeros. Since I first found this thread I've watched the HBO series and read the books. I am currently about 200 pages into a "Feast for Crows". What a great fantasy series. I have a hard time putting down the books, however, now that I'm getting towards the end I am trying to take my time. Sounds like PSC has waited years between books! That seems like torture to me!

I just finished 'A Feast for Crows' and can't wait to start 'A Dance with Dragons'.

Minor spoilers below:

My favorite part in reading the series is how much my feelings towards certain characters have changed since 'A Game of Thrones'. This is especially true in regards with the Lannisters. My two favorites are Jamie and Tyrion at the moment. What a great series, and I'm looking forward to the final chapters. Hopefully Martin can craft an ending that is both satisfying and worthy of this epic. In saying this I'm hoping it doesn't take another decade to find out what happens in Westros.

I can't believe how much I gotten into these books. I'm half way through Clash of Kings and I can't put this book down. I never got into LOTR this much. Just something about the way George RR Martin writes that makes me not want to stop reading.
