Jaime Lannister is an awesome character.

I guess because of the fairly limited exposure he received to this point in the show, I haven't been overly impressed by him yet.

However, I imagine based on you saying this he will take a much larger role later on.

If you read the books, and you still think the Kingslayer is a bitch, there's much more to the character than whats on the surface.

Yup, your opinion of Jamie will definitely change a bit. I say a bit, because he clearly pushed a child out of a window lol.

Yea he did defenestrate Bran, and loves his sister. But if you like Dany, her bloodline is notorius for incest. Trust us on liking Jaime. Maybe not til seaon 3, but eventually. He is practically in book 2 for the time it takes a girl to take a poo.

Apologies for any typos. I am on my phone and far too hungover to spell check.

Im halfway through book 1 right now and I love how HBO has done with production and the overall product but am dissapointed in how they portrayed some of the characters. Theon Greyjoy (so far) is not the snarky little bitch like he is in the book. Another thing is they made the wedding scene with Daenerys to seem like rape. When in the book Drogo was soft with her.

Im torn because I really want to find out what happens tonight but I feel like the TV show has ruined some of the book.

If you don't watch the show AND read the books, you're cheating yourself out of either the greatest show to ever air on TV, or the greatest fantasy fiction ever written...

GRRM gives several characters their redemption, and that's when you realize that they are all basically the same when you get down to it. No one is innocent. No one is safe.

Tyrion is by far my favorite character in the books, followed closely by many (namely Jamie, Jon, and Arya). Even somewhat minor characters can find a soft spot in my heart at times.
