Trade Down.. Please

I feel that the top talent of the draft is some what overrated due to were we will be picking them at and how much impact that will have on the team. In a couple of other threads I know people are talking about why we should pick newton, why we should pick Dareus or anybody else. Well the truth is Newton is a project at quarterback the guy is the truth though and I believe Carolina may take him if we stay at number 1 just been honest. On the other hand we have Dareus the guy is a flat out stud but why will we play a DT 40 to 50 million dollars who will probably average 5 to 6 sacks a year at the most. He is a good player but i dont see Impact on him.

And with Patrick Peterson I love the guy no homo but i dont think we will take him not at number 1. So what maybe best is to trade down. Why we should trade down is because we will get better value at the position and we will get more draft picks for a rebuilding team. We could trade down to the 5 overall selection with Arizona and still get and impact player. Hell we could still get Slam Newton and its a place were patrick peteson could easily fall to us at or AJ green or we can take julio Jones . The funny thing about it we can trade out of the top 10 and still get some good players. Maybe a guy like Amukamra he could easily be a shut down corner then Patrick peterson and in the second we could get Marvin Austin who could be a some what better pass rusher then Dareus. If you look at it you are getting a little more bang for the buck and you arent reaching at all.

Im just saying its best to trade down, out of all the years we made trades this year is the year we should make it.

All the other teams in the top 10 are rebuilding too.... They pretty value the #1 pick the same as we do... so why when there are multiple players to draft would they give up picks to move up???? Also JR has all ready stated we will not be trading the #1 pick. I believe that will hold true.

Im just saying I dont know what we will do. It might be best to trade down do you see dareus or Cam been instant impact players. And there is no way they pay AJ green or Patrick peterson 40 to 50 million. Thats if the old CBA stands. And im taking a educated guess those are the rules they are using.

What I'm saying is if they are not instant impact players why would you expect other rebuilding teams to trade up, give up picks, and draft them???

It's not easy to trade down from the #1 pick... this discussion is had every year and teams never get good value because these other teams are rebuilding also. And this year it could be argued the top 3 is not as strong or really differentiates from other players in the top 8-10.

I'll be happy with anyone other than Newton. I watched the QB camp thing today and he is borderline retarded.

It worries me when he speaks.

"I'm like a gun.. you know.. like my mind is like a gun... and when people............................... say I can't do something..................... those are like.... I know this is a violent thing to say...... when people hate on me... it's like a mental chamber... my mind is like.... where I put the bullets.... you see the things haters say are the bullets... and they go in my mind.... and that's the mental chamber.............................. and so I load up the bullets in my ears and into my mental chamber..... and then.... I like start shooting the gun into my heart... not a real gun I left that at home... but a mental gun... and that makes me motivated to win."

My personal favorite, after winning the Heisman "I have to thank my parents, they do so much behind the scenes that go unnoticed." Thought that was fuging hilarious because everyone was talking about the poo Cecil did the entire week and he said that.

so you were expecting him to leave his parents out.
