Picks After Round 1????

There is no doubt we all have deep feelings about the many needs on this team. The future of the team, at least the immediate future depends greatly on the later rounds! What are thoughts about who we spend these later picks on? We need depth at corner and DT in my opinion which need to be addressed through the draft. What are your thoughts?

FINALLY!!!!! That's right guys! There's more to a draft than just 1 pick!!!

I'd like to pick up Leonard Hankerson (from THE U) if he's still there!!!

We should even further break down this thread by position! If only I had "Thread posting powers"

I foresee rave reviews for your future threads.

Thanks!

Seriously though...

Our no poo needs... QB, DT, CB, OL ( gotta stay young)

Wr, LB (insurance would be good)

Ah hell... We need everything! Nevermind!

The point us we're no doubt from all over and are fans of different college teams... Who would u guys like to see us pick up later in the draft!?

I really like Hankerson I'd be stoked if we could get him but I'm betting he is gone in the second. I'd go best CB best DT available in the 3rd. (not in that order; depends who is there) BPA after that leaning toward another DT or two and a kicker would be nice.

I don't think we need more youth at WR. If Smitty leaves bring in a Solid vet. with good work ethic.

Jackson's one more DUI away from a year long suspension. I'll pass. He's good, but his head's not all there. Between the DUIs and holding out for a new contract this past year, he'd be more trouble than he's worth for how many more seasons we'd possibly get out of him.

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
