Smith wants out, prefers Chargers or Ravens

I've give you Boldin and the defense, that's about it... Flacco has got to be the most overrated QB in the NFL right now.

It's also important to remember that the window is closing quickly on the elite talent in the Ravens defense (Lewis, Reed).

Most overrated.... I guess we all have our opinions :confused5: Though I don't really understand that statement at all...

I disagree....I think we could con someone to give us a late second, maybe early third for Smitty. He isn't a complete bum

Even if we could get a 3rd round pick. it wouldnt be to a good team most likely. Are you ok with shipping smitty to some other shithole?

Come on now man haha, you dont think Ray Lewis and Ed Reed would just be chillin in Baltimore if they didnt think they could get another ring.

What have they done lately that suggests they're anywhere close to winning a SB anytime soon?

Who ever wants Smith is going to have to pay what the Panthers feel he is worth. They are not going to let him walk and they already said they will not release him. We will either get good value for him or he will be a panther next season. If there is a next season.

Unless I am missing something, players still cannot be traded yet.

You have to look at what the market have been for Wr's on the trade market.... Considering younger Wr's in their prime have gone for less.... Also with Smitty depanding out and other teams knowing that we lack leverage in the situation.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
