Round 3: Panthers Select Sione Fua

I just think both these DTs are going to be very Corvey Irvin and Attiyah Ellison-like careers.

Based on what, Nostradamus?

I swear your are the most negative poster here.

Did you expect to draft a guy like Fairely or Dareus with the last pick of the 3rd?

We essentially traded Julius Peppers for Sione Fua... we selected Fua with the comp pick that we received from losing Pepp.. that makes me a little nauseous.

We did no essentially trade Peppers for Fua.

Peppers walked away....we did NOT trade him.

We essentially got Fua for nothing.

Good pick up IMO. He will need to bulk up this year. His upper body strength seem a bit avg for a man of his side. Def would not want to start him at NT in the NFL by any means. Prob will translate to a 2 down DT IMO.

30 reps of 225 is pretty strong.

Get out.

This was probably my least favorite pick. I know the nose in a 3-4 doesn't pile up the stats, but he doesn't even jump off the screen in his highlight reels. I don't know if he will be good or bad, just not my favorite pick. See a lot of nick hayden in him.

Don't know how you draw that comparison, unless you're only using disappointment as the caveat. They're exact opposites as far as football players go.

Fua will probably never have good stats, but will fill an important role, much like Kemo. Good news, Fua costs a fraction of what Kemo cost.
