The "Get To Know Cam Newton" Thread

I know that several of the highlights posted were of Cam running over and through defensive players.

I hope that I NEVER see him try this in the NFL. With the hitting that happens out there, if he tries those moves it will be a very short time before they are carrying him off the field.

I want to see him use his legs as a weapon. However, I hope that Shula teaches him the art of sliding and getting out of bounds.

Who are the Camolina Camthers? Never heard of them. I thought we had first pick, but I'm too lazy to look. I figure you guys should compile all the information instead of me just adding any new info myself.

Camolina Camthers??? Seriously?

That has to be the most retarded and and dumbest one yet.

Jesus people, our fan base is starting to sound like a bunch of middle schoolers.

Support Cam as our QB...but don't sound like an idiot.

If a DB like Deangelo Hall or someone Munnerlyn's size gets in his way it might be Deja Vu. just sayin' he is 6'6 2damn50:auto:

Exactly of course we want him to be a balanced dual threat like a 2011 season Vick for example but I am not to worried about what Mad Hatter stated.

yep.. I'm looking for him to escape pressure when needed, not go Vick on everyone.

Vick won't last 3 years if he feels like he did at the end of this past season.

Vick is also 6"0 215 I am just saying on draft day all we heard was how Cam was bigger or the same size as some of the defensive players that attended the draft. I don't think it'll be a huge problem with him trucking players/staying healthy (he's not superman but c'mon) at the pro level we will see though.

LBs in the NFCS aren't all that big anyways. i don't think he'll have a whole lot of problem with them when he runs. it won't be easy for him, but he sure won't make it easy for them. not one of them are going to be looking forward to dealing with him. i can see defensive players being as excited about facing him as they were brandon jacobs. get some momentum behind a guy that size and you get in the way and you've got a concussion coming your way.

    • It really isn't though If you were to go out to a bar every week of the season, even to just watch one batch of games, i.e. just the 1 pm or just the 4 pm, and spent only $30 a week, you're looking at $540 bucks, $510 if you're just going for the 17 weeks your team is playing, assuming no national games. Also, from past experience, it's hard to spend only 30 bucks if you're at a bar for 3+ hours to watch the game.  Even just a small appetizer, a meal, and say 2 beers was going to run you $40ish, and that was back in 2019 when I used to go to BWW to watch all our games pre the Covid year when I just started finding streams and stuck with that until YouTube got the package from DirecTV. At $450 for a full season, to be able to watch every game, to be able to make your own quad box, to be able to switch between the sound for any game (at a bar in Michigan, I would never get to hear the commentary on our games)... It's really not a bad deal, and that's if you're only watching your team's games.  If you're a fantasy football junkie like myself, then it's a flat out steal, as depending on your TV set up, you can get every game from your fantasy matchup playing.  I do a projector with a quad box on it, a local game on the TV, and then if needed, I can put another game on my laptop and another on my phone.
    • He has looked worse than Bryce has looked on his worse days since entering the nfl, maybe he will do something for the panthers but trask or zappe woule have been preferred.
