After Aldo-Hominick the main event was a letdown.

I agree. It's like GSP just figured "fug it, I got this. No need to try and finish it early and risk blowing out." Really a boring fight to be honest, save for some good hits and the head-kick.

Aldo-Hominick was absolutely amazing. I was at Brewmeister's in Asheville, and people were going NUTS over that fight. As well as the Lyoto victory via punt (hey, for once punting was the RIGHT play...).

Fights were very good, except for the Main event. GSP could only see out of his right eye so I kinda understand why he slowed down but why didnt Jake go at him harder? I imagine after Dana talks with Nick Diaz he will be the next challenger to GSP. I think Diaz can beat GSP.

Man that hematoma on Hominicks head was horrid, props to him and McCarty for letting the fight go on.

Machida's KO of Couture was just like Anderson's...and they both give credit to Steven Segal...damn, the guy must know some stuff for sure.

McCarthy showed again why he's the best ref in MMA.

Jake looks so terrible on the feet, it's like he just watched his first instructional video and is trying it out. He's so rigid it's insane.

Glad Nate Diaz got his ass whooped again. He's not even close to as good as his brother but tries to show off the same, it makes me angry.

      Refs will be in their pocket. Always have to account for that. They are 20th in rush defense. They currently have the worst pass defense in the league. I mean I want to say even Bryce could at least put up 250 or more passing yards given that but man he looked BAD when the pocket collapsed against Miami and they had the 20th pass defense. Just can't expect to consistently get clean pockets like that in this league even with the better OL's. I'd say with this being a home game hopefully our guys will be motivated regardless. We certainly seem to play much better at home. We'll see.

      They'd never do it, because it really would be insane to do, but if I'm the Commanders, I'd seriously consider trading Daniels after this season, especially as he'd get a HUGE return for him. He's RG3 part 2, with his body type and style of game, I just can't see how he holds up long term, he's going to end up having a seriously injury prone career. It would take some massive balls (or pure insanity) to pull the trigger on trading him, but I do think 5 years from now it would be looked back upon as a smart trade.
