I want Cam to have the # he wants.

I'm concerned with him being a successful QB. I really don't give a flying rip what number he wears doing it.

As to Clausen, I suspect he's way more concerned about his number on the depth chart than he is the number on his jersey.

Wow. Let's get back on track. It will be Clausen's decision about #2, and if Cam wants it, more than likely he'll have to pay for it. I really can't see a public competition for it. That would be too contrived and possibly counterproductive in the long and/or short term.

I like Clausen. I like Cam. Personally I don't think Clausen will beat Cam for the starting position---it's just not that likely---but if by some chance that he does, more power to him. There are obviously questions surrounding both, so let's see how it plays out on the field (practice and all). At this point, you really can't say with all surety that either one of them is a lock, or a bust. Now, of course Cam will get the cash of an heir to the throne, and in the long term is expected to be the franchise QB, but let's not disrespect Pickles.

I hope Clausen does well, then we can maybe get a 2nd for him later. Let's face it, struggling young QBs that transition to new coaches typically don't stay long. Especially if that coach has already drafted someone he views as his project.

That is a bold statement for a quarterback that led his team to the playoff's in his rookie season and lost. Then lost in his third year despite playing at home, being the #1 seed, and facing the #6 seed. And it wasn't just any loss, it was a complete blowout.

It doesn't matter, he actually led his team to the playoff's. You have a little to much homer in you. If you honestly think Matt Ryan sucks then you are absolutely one of the most foolish people crawling on all fours on this planet

this...two playoff-appearences in the first 3 pro-years is a hell of a number. usually, you can be lucky when your rookie-qb can start from day one....and you can jerk off the whole day long when the same qb leads your loser-team to the playoffs.
