IIRC, the initial injury that had MM benched was a concussion that no one knew of the exact time it occurred. That's the injury I'm talking about. And I think that happened 2 different times, the final injury was the torn labrum.

But Clausen was put in following the concussion. I was saying that after that initial performance from Clausen that he shouldn't have been put back in there again, certainly not over MM if he was healthy. If Matt wasn't available, then we should've went Pike.

Let me just tell you that I can promise you that.

Just like I promised (okay didn't promise, but I strongly hinted) that Clausen threw a fit when he was benched after the bye and that's why it took 3 days for him to do an interview.

You're an avid MM guy, from Cali... You pointed out multiple times you "promised" correctly. What's the point in guessing games? If you know him, why not say so? It would be a lot cooler to have that insight than all the vague "trust me"s. Just sayin'.

My "trust mes" are more fun when they are vague because sometimes people like to argue them.

Even when people tell you they know people, no one believes them so why not just throw out vagueness.

You wouldn't believe how many people got mad when I said Clausen didn't handle the benching well, even though I know it to be fact he threw a 10 year old tantrum. Hearing their responses and defenses is just classic.

It's more fun to know more than other people, but let them think you only think you know more.

I get that, but it's not hard to believe that you would know him... Especially as much as you have shown your support for him on here. And he is a regular guy, whose job that he excels at happens to be televised and super popular in today's culture... I've had a lot of friends that have played D-1 collegiately at least and I know Wallace Wright through a several different friends and we're from the same hometown, although I don't talk to him myself... So it's not unbelievable.

I'm just saying, I get why you may want to keep some things close to the vest, but I am usually pretty good at sensing B.S. and attention whores who want to claim they have insider info. You don't seem to really care what people think, so I don't think you'd be pretending to know a guy that a lot of people on here give too little credit and consider him to be a career #2. I'm not one of those people, as I said, I think MM can ball, and especially given the correct system and coaches that believe in him, I think he will.

I really hope he sticks around but that's selfish, and I get the feeling from listening to his interview yesterday that we probably won't be bringing him back. I wanted Cam here, and I want Cam to be the franchise guy, but like I said, I'll always pull for MM as long as it doesn't negatively affect us wherever he may go. I'm always an underdog type guy.

SN: And if you do know him, it would be awesome to hear what the other factors were in him not getting a fair shot at the starting job was beside Fox.

I have it on good authority that uncle Foxy did like Moore. He just hated anyyone that wasn't a vet.

Uncle Foxy once told me that when he was a young boy he actually prefered baseball.

I am a big fan of Matt Moore as well as Cam. All I want is for any of them, including Clausen, to give us a Super Bowl. I could care less which one gets us there. I'm just saying... here we are arguing for nothing when I know all of us True Fans here on the Huddle can all agree to that statement.

It's one thing to have JImmy Clausen to beat out in camp to prove you're worth a damn, but in some ways, no matter what Moore does here, his time would be limited. =|

I wouldn't blame him for going somewhere that he could compete for a legit, long-term starting gig. At the same time, I think there are advantages to showing the NFL what he can do as a quarterback here. From how it looks he is VERY likely to start the season in a system that should be very friendly to how he plays ball, and even if he will be replaced in time no matter what, it may be a good way to show 2010 was just a shitty situation on every level.
