if you're new to Shad you should really check out his other stuff. he's one of my favorites and the two songs I posted(Rock to it, I get Down) are both pretty old songs, and he's released two albums since then.

like songs have to be heavy to come original, other than rappin about boats and hoes!

TIP is best when he's on that trap/dope boy rap, but sadly with all of his success, he's in a different space right now. Everything post Urban Legend from him has been garbage. Wish he could put out another album on the level of Trap Muzik or Urban Legend.

Honestly, I was incredibly disappointed when he got arrested again after his whole "Road to Redemption" thing he did on MTV. That show was, for me at least, an example of a rap artist doing something more than talking about money and women in a song. He was doing something positive and real and I gained tons of respect for him because of that. But then to go and get arrested again, I'm not sure how sincere his efforts were. Rappers in general need to do better. They have an effect on today's youth much more than they do or care to realize and to perpetuate this sort of nonsense does nothing but contribute to the degradation of the youth.

it's hard for me to argue against that, but technically his road to redemption was about getting away from the guns and retaliation/violence.. when he got sent back is was busted for weed and E.. now I don't know about anyone else, but I don't find that to be too hypocritical... I just find that to be a dumbass move on his part, do that poo in your huge fuging mansion with all the women you want.. or his ugly ass wife. (no offense TI, lol)
