sorry bj...but this hurts every team!!

Yes, but the Panthers more than most.

What with coming off a 2-14 season, a brand new coaching staff, being one of the youngest teams in the league, and a number one pick invested in a quarterback, you could say it hits the Panthers the hardest out of all the teams in the NFL.

nope. we aren't any worse off than we would have been compared to other teams.

the suck is equal for all teams. lockout or no lockout, we would be in the same place in regards to other teams.

anyway...it's just this year that we feel the effect and it's not like we were expecting to get to the playoffs. we'll win more games than last year, but we should still have a top 10 pick.

not sure why everyone is getting upset.

Uh, but we are. We were already at a disadvantage compared to teams with stable coaching and QB situations, but it's even worse now.

While you have teams like New Orleans that can get dozens of players together for an organized workout where they all know the playbook, most of our players don't even have theirs, and aren't getting together in large groups to workout at all.

If you ignore that, well I don't know what to tell you. It'd be akin to sticking your fingers in your ears and going, 'Lalalala, I can't heeeear you.'

This is what I don't get. Why not meet now until it's solved?

Because the players don't and never did have ANY intention of negotiating a new deal.

There have been two offers made by the owners. Even if the offers were no where near acceptable, a group wishing to negotiate a deal would make a counter proposal.

They wanted this in court all along.

I just hope that the 8th Circuit court shoves this so far up the players ass that they feel like they are being boned by an elephant.

What I typed went through one eyeball and out the other, didn't it?

Not my fault I'm not an irrational sunshine pumper like some people.

Cause that's not what the owners want. They'd rather have it dragged out until the season starts so players start loosing money and panicking, assuring the owners the best deal possible.

The players think they will win the appeal, so they won't agree on anything until it comes through, thinking they'll gain better leverage.

Neither side wants to do it right now. Anything to that effect is just for show.

You actually missed the point that the owners have made TWO offers....neither of which the Players would even counter propose on.

That tells me that the players are the ones that have ZERO intention of negotiating.

I would be VERY interested to see what was in the latest proposal by the owners. That would tell a lot about the story.
