Backyard Kid Pools

My daughter is saving her money to buy one of these pools.

She wants either this one...

I'm leaning towards the $199 one since it's a little bigger and comes with a ground cloth and a cleaning kit. I told her if we got the bigger one I would pay the difference. She's already saved $100 in the last couple of months.

Do any of you have one of these? Do you like it? Is it durable enough for reuse for several summers?

Kills the grass. We like those inflatable water slides, but they killed our lawn last summer. Neighborhood pool this summer!

we have the inflatable ring style and ya it kills the grass, but its lots of fun too tough as nails

I'd get the Intex brand. I'm on my second pool (started with the inflatable ring) and on my second year with the metal frame pool. But I'd get the better brand.

I bought one before, I put it on the side corner of my house(dead end street) cause it does kill grass, but it worked pretty well, but the city fined me and told me to take it down. Make sure you buy chlorine and a cover to put over it.

We have an actual pool in our backyard but my kid wants one of those blue plastic ones for $20 at Lowes.

simple solution for the grass is to just go ahead and kill it yourself, and then put mulch or rock down.

I'm aware that it kills grass. I'm planning on killing the grass myself before I set it up. We have a wooded area next to our back yard so I'm not worried about it being unsightly. We'll be the only ones seeing it.

I have one of those inflatable ring ones, basically a rubber bowl. Somebody gave me an 8ft, but last year I went and got the 12ft, 3ft deep version. We love it, its not too big for my kids, 2 & 4, but plenty big enough for the family to get in, play for a while cool off. I would even go home for long lunch break and just soak for an hour. I will prol'ly get one of them bigger ones within 2 years to accommodate the kids gettin bigger.. Going to set it up Friday when i take some time off...

We've had the 8 ft inflatable ring version for the last 2 years & she likes that one ok but wants a bigger one. I told her she'd have to buy it herself because there's nothing wrong with the existing one. She always wants me to get in it with her but quite frankly I'm tired of being kicked in the boobs and vagina because the pool is really only big enough for one kid to splash around in.

those are a lot of fun when you get everyone running around in a circle creating a whirlpool.. then you pick up your legs at the same time and get swept around in a funnel..
