Someone might want to inform Bochy, Ron Washington, and the entire New York fan base that the all star game rewards the winner home field advantage, and being dumbass homers picking their own pooty players hurts them in the long run.

Definitely some snubs, but that's to be expected of any all star game.

Wilson has really not had a great year and his selection over Cordero and Kimbrel. Don't get me started on Timmy and Cain beating Hanson.

CC also got screwed by this in the AL, a deserving Yankee that didn't make it.

And poor Andrew McCutchen...not even up for the final vote.

McCutchen was definitely the biggest snub.

I'm glad CC wasn't voted in though. About damn time a Yankee/Yankee fans know what it feels like when another player gets voted in over them, even if they're not the better player. Besides, his ERA isn't even top 15 and wins are one of the most meaningless stats in all sports so I don't really recognize that as a legitimate stat.

Michael Morse was also a HUGE snub.

#5 in batting average for 1b

#5 in HR's

#5 in RBI

#3 in OPS

He's also been fantastic with the glove at 1B.

At the very least he deserved a spot on the bench. He is the ONLY reason the Nationals aren't 10 games under .500 right now.

The McCutchen thing is just sad.

Morse stats still don't match up as well against Votto and Prince in the runs/rbi totals with is the big thing is the voting.

Gabby Sanchez on the other hand, you can make the argument...but thats another of Bochy's picks.

There were a few snubs here and there, but the Fans actually did a pretty damn good job in voting for players for this All-Star game. Where it got really messed up is when the managers started picking players.

The managers didn't do to hot of a job in picking players that should've been picked.

Also don't get me started on freaking Jeter getting picked, he's one of the worst defensive Short Stops in the league and now he can't freaking hit either.

McCutchen not getting voted in or picked by the managers is sad, I hope someone has to pull out and they put the kid in. He clearly deserves to be playing in this years game.

The All Star game is a popularity contest. If you see it for what it is, then it's not bad. The best players are rewarded at the end of the season with gold gloves, Cy Young's, Silver Sluggers, and MVPs.

False.

Why? Derek Jeter won the gold glove last year. Lmfao.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
