Job interview advice

Bottom line: you have no problem calling people and being hung up on daily and/or being sociable and creating conversation with the old people who just want someone to talk to but plan on donating no money whatsoever.

you are really good at leaving voice mails and in your mind KSU is the poo.

I haven't met you in person, but as long as you aren't socially retarded, I see you getting the job NP.

That's actually really helpful, thanks. Didn't think about saying most of that.

Something else I was never very good at...

The notes are online. If I didn't have a class after this I wouldn't even be here.

Telemarketing gig?

Don't stammer or stutter, speak confidently, be 15 minutes early to interview.

Should be a piece of cake.

Thanks. I actually planned on showing up like 10 minutes early.

Don't say most of that.

But they will most likely ask you about how comfortable you are calling people, talking on the phone, asking for donations, asking for updated info...etc.

Just be very bubbly and sociable and make them see that you are motivated, determined, and have no problem having conversation with random people all day.

Plus if you ever want to go into sales, this could be good cold calling experience to have.

Prepare to answer what your strenghs and weaknesses are. Of the later..think of something that is not too bad..and not something that would make them concerned about your performance at the job.

Do you have previous experience at this sort of thing? If not, let them know why you believe you are prepared.

Talk about being a team player.

Be confident, not cocky. Find out all you can about the person(s) interviewing you.

Look sharp. As someone said, arrive early.

Have questions of your own prepared.

There was another thread like this sometime back...might want to search that one.

Good luck.

Yeah I didnt mean just outright saying it, but some of that could be helpful answering questions.

For gods sake, don't say "you know".

Talk about how excited you are to be helping your school, all the while getting to speak with past students, and learning about how KSU made their lives better.

That is very helpful, thanks.

haha. I think you will be fine. I have no doubt youll get it.

Part time job, you go to the school, you are well dressed, you fool people daily into thinking you are a chef, added bonus you are a Panthers fan....all of that tells me you are guaranteed the job.
