After watching the Video Fua and mcclain are going to be a huge focus in the Defense. Especially Fua because he will play the Nosetackle position. Its a good chance he could even start this season if he plays well.

Usually the Nose tackle is featured in the 50-front. The panthers are only going to the fifty front if the offense is in something along the lines a a double-wing, and today you won't find that in the NFL

No one is talking about 5 down linemen. The NT functions differently than the UT. Hell they even explain it in the video to some extent.

Yep. I think a lot of Cover 2's use an NT. He just doesn't play over center. I think it's become more popular recently.

Yeah I believe Meeks used some of the NT too. I've been fairly critical of Kemo as it seemed like we paid him an awful lot of money to really not do anything most of the other NTs couldn't do. He should have been more disruptive for that money.

They cited this game he had against LeCharles Bentley when we signed him, I was able to find a fan who made some highlights of it and he's rarely looked like that during his stay here.

Well damn, we need a NT then. Both guys we drafted are 290ish. That's not very big for an NFL NT that is expected to take up 2 blockers. Maybe Fua will put on 10-15lbs.

Fua is 300+ and having a decent NT makes your d run a lot smoother.

For some reason I thought Fua was mid 290's. If he is in fact 300+ then we are headed in the right direction.
