Brees and LT might hook up again...

The Saints would reportedly have a "high level of interest" in LaDainian Tomlinson if he doesn't reach a restructured deal with San Diego.

There have been multiple indications that New Orleans isn't completely sold on Pierre Thomas as its lead back since the season ended. We expect the Chargers and Tomlinson to agree on a redone deal, but until a new contract is worked out LT's release will remain a realistic possibility.

i know LT is on the back-half of his career, but he still could be lethal with Brees and Co.

LT's just about finished

Agreed. He definitely is on the down slope of his career, but you and I have both seen just how potent a guy like him can be in the year after he signs a deal with a new team. a la Stephen Davis

LT has a lot more mileage at 29 than Davis did. LT's recent injuries look like a thoroughbred that's falling apart. When tendons start tearing away from bone it's a BAD sign, he may have a little left in the tank, but not much.

BTW

Regardless of how 2003 turned out people were right about Davis he squeezed one more year out, but began breaking down in the end. Yes he helped the Panthers get to the superbowl, but one year and done doesn't make for the best FA pick up of all time IMO.

But still, at this moment, he probably is...

    • Those TDs passes you saw Sunday is what I think you will see bryce at his best. Those touch passes he can lob to receivers over the defenders heads. Long as receivers can get significant separation and bryce does overthrow those passes which we seem him do a lot. He is never gonna be a guy that can throw a laser into a receivers chest with a defender draped on him downfield unless its short pass or within a couple feet from the endzone.
    • If teams play us honestly and take that deep stuff away we may be able to operate good enough underneath to counter that. It is about time we started trying to force them to respect it.    But I think people should enjoy the win for two weeks because what’s in front of us doesn’t scream playoffs to me. It would be shocking if we swept TB. They aren’t Atlanta.  And even if we sweep there can be no let down.    I saw the stat of our record coming off a loss. Pretty good. What would it be coming off a win lol? Without looking, it has to at least be pretty upside down  (I count it to be 2-4).
    • Win the division from Bucs........BY implodes in the playoff worse than Delhomme and we finally get rid of BY as our QB. Get ready for 2026 with momentum for once.
