More guys trying out for the same amount of spots...

Hmm let's see here...

If I add 20 more guys to a roster... And the roster spots per team remain the same I would think it was obvious that well... I mean common sense tells me that with 20 more players.... That would be 20 more guys that could possibly get injured...

I'm no mathematician but I'd say that the likelihood of injuries would go way up... And while the starters/guaranteed people under contract might be inclined to go half speed against these hungrier guys trying to make the team... It will mean more injuries...

Did I break that down enough... Or should I break it down to a 1st grade level for you... I could always use the candy analogy... Let me know tuff guy...

One thing that I disagree with--fines are not based on salary. A guy making $250K is fined $5K. If he were making $3 million, it would be about the same. Should be 1% for first violations, 2% for second, etc.

Another thing: If an injury results from a cheap shot, the victimized team is not compensated. I think, depending on the amount of time the victim is out, the violator's team should forfiet a draft pick (if the player is forced to IR or disabled for the playoffs) or the violator should be forced to sit out as long as the victim is disabled.

Remember when that steroided idiot from Denver Romanowski went helmet to helmet with Kerry Colins in a friggin preseason game and put him out for the year? We should have got their first rounder, Romo should have been fined (do not remember what happened or if it was even considered an illegal hit).

In addition, if the flagrant violation is one of violence, the player should undergo an extensive drug screening after the game to see if he is raging on roids.

I disagree with some of the rules, such as a DL slapping a QBs helmet as he tries to get to him. However, a flagrant act should be considered an attempt to injure.

Not sure it if is posturing.....I think the players overall have voiced prior fairly clearly they aren't fans of what Goodell did all last season.

Maybe some defensive players have but your not going to hear much out of WRs that are getting creamed every game and QBs that are taking shots to there knees. This is just a BS excuse to prolong the negotiations and miss pre-season games. Every player hates them except the ones that are fighting for a job. Those are going to be the guy that suffer and the ones that the NFLPA does not care about.

Thanks for breaking it down but you missed the point. Please explain to me how I'm a tuff guy because I asked a question. Just curious

not a good idea. that representative would just be a destructive and derailing voice in the disciplinary department (which is a very important part of the league) 99% of the time despite always being outvoted. Or there is that off chance that he sides with he law dogs (savvy) and loses the favor of the player union. I would hate that job. Not only is it figurehead, it's a no-win situation.

The players are stupid for asking for this. They are just trying to save face after getting publicly put in their place.

Yeah, it'd be much like how policemen "discipline" bad cops.

i.e. They *don't*.

They form the blue wall and try to make it go away.

Which, if the players have anything to do with it, will work the same way in the NFL.
