I originally wanted Cam to take number 5 or 9, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted Cam to have a number that wasn't already "taken" by another starting QB in our division. So I like that he picked something unquie to him, the team and the division.

I'm still sorta undecided about the fact he's wearing #1. Is it unique? Most definitely. Is it fitting to his personality? Sure. But, I always thought that #13 would be a better number for him.

However, I'm ordering a Cam jersey ASAP.

You guys are missing the big picture....Jimmy has punked Cam in front of the nation's eyes.

Let's hope TC goes better for Cam.

Wouldn't you be upset to, that the Panthers brought in a quarterback to replace you after one year? But at the same time you have to look at it from both spectrums, Cam is showing that he is not going to take a backseat, please don't look to much into the fact that he will be wearing #1, it will only cause grief for you.

I figured he would keep that number. Its a lil bit odd "yeah" but its something new and different. No. 9 is a odd number 17 was kind of odd 16 was an odd type number shout out to Chris Weinke 19 was a ugly number but the guy who use to wear it was great. So i guess it will be kool.

Cam should wear number 1 at least for the first season. It just makes good business sense. He is guaranteed with all of this hype to put asses in the seats at BOA. So far, all of the fans from opposing teams are telling me that he is going to be a huge bust. One guy at work told me that he hopes Cam is a bust but in the back of his mind, he knows Cam will be one of the best. He told me that everyone else is holding a little bit of jealousy over Carolina landing Cam and not to pay attention.

It wasn't a slam...just saying that the two new guys, who love Cam, don't remember Jerry saying that when other guys, who have been here longer, do.

That's because those guys were not the #1 overall pick in the draft, no matter who you are, if you are the #1 pick you will get special treatment. Do you really think every athlete gets treated fairly? If that were the case we could just pay every athlete $5 million regardless of who they were and how good they are and leave it at that.
