SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek says he snapped his Achilles tendon while running after a burglar who had stolen cash, a bracelet and other items from his San Francisco hotel room.

The 71-year-old Trebek tells KGO-TV that he also injured his other leg while falling down during the chase early Wednesday. He was on crutches later Wednesday when he hosted the National Geographic World Championship at Google headquarters in Mountain View.

He's Canadian! Canadians are tough old birds!

I remember reading an article several years ago where a guy walked into a 24 hour 7/11 type store intent on robbing it. Little did he know that the young woman behind the counter was Canada's Kick Boxing Champion!

He pulled a knife and by the time the Mounties got there, he was pleading them to take him away!

The Colonial Army tried to invade Canada during the Revolutionary War. The Canadians kicked the Colonial Army's General tail. Told him that the fight was with Britian, not Canada and keep it that way!

Bullshit we would have destroyed them.

    • I forgot about Burrow, he is elite when healthy.
    • Solid in free agency, and lets not forget the draft--Most teams expect to get 2 starters/key contributors out of the draft.  3 is a banner year, but more common for bad teams.   Look at this draft: TMac.  Yes please.  Sorely needed since XL is becoming the road kill he often eats. DAY 2 Scourton.  Pay attention.  he is a stud and playing like one.  A second-round edge?  Rare. Princely.  He has flashed a bit, but he is developmental. Bothered by an ankle.   I expect him to step up, if he is going to, by year 3.  That is the year, if you think about it. we saw the emergence of Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson.  I have not seen him on the field much lately (injured?) but I noticed he was a liability vs. the run in the few plays I paid attention.  Too early to tell. DAY 3 Etienne.  As a returner and third RB, a key contributor for a fourth rounder. Ransom.  He has been contributing, and I have little doubt he will push Scott to pasture. Mitchell.  Perhaps Morgan's best pick.  A good blocking, pass catching TE with swag.  In round 5.  I think he is our best TE already. Horn.  They are finding ways to use him.  Yes, he reminds me of Steve Smith a bit during his first half season of his rookie year.  They did not really know what they had at that time.   Cam Jackson: A fifth rounder has not played much, but he was and is developmental.
    • What job did he get done?   He was an albatross around the teams neck and they won despite him
