Albert haynesworth Traded to the Patriots. Holy smokes

The patriots and maybe the steelers are more then likely the only teams that could get him to give any effort anyway, so no loss to us.

I would think the Eagles could have also. They play the 4-3, Jim Washburn who is arguably one of the best D-line coaches in the NFL was his coach in TN the whole time he was there. Haynesworth and Washburn are still good friends. Would have been a great fit if you ask me and that is why the Redskins wouldn't let him go there.

Good points, I agree with that assesment as well. Smart of the redskins then. Too bad they could never get anything out of him while he played there.

Rumor has it the Redskins said they would sooner take a ham sandwich for Hayneswerth from a team than trade him to the Eagles.

They Patriots will let him line up between the guard and tackle and rush the passer, which is what he has wanted all along... and he will play his ass off. They will not be stupid like the Skins and tell him he will be nothing more than a double team absorber, after they signed him to a deal with incentives that he could only reach by rushing the passer.

The Panthers missed out on an opportunity here.
