GM and Coach Question...

So comparing the Fox era and Rivera era, we notice a totally different approach to player personel. Did Hurney just sign, and also retain, the players Fox wanted? With the recent events of this offseason, including the draft and free agency, I can't help but to think that was the case. So the players that are on the team can be credited to the coach, but the contracts are all on Hurney. Correct?

Believe they go by the coaches philosophy and recomendation. When it comes to drafting I think it is more of the scouts. Free agents is more of the Coach. Hurney just let them do there jobs.

I dunno. I think JR Being down with the heart transplant and his two boys in charge set us back. JR had a plan and that was to let the lame duck live out the last year of his contract, dump the crappy salaries while losing to get a high draft pick. ALL because of the upcoming CBA that was going to be a nightmare.

Several of us kept saying the man is not nearly as dumb as many think, he has a plan and now look! If Scam can be even a decent QB, we have went to the superbowl and damn near won it with a decent QB. If Chud and Rivera can show him Mike Vick and say 'Mike didn't get good till he stayed in the pocket mostly and learned to read defenses and throw the ball' then we will be in good shape.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
