Can C Gamble regain his form?

I really have not read alot of positive comments about Gamble from some of you at training camp.Is Rivera trying to inspire Gamble or does he really look like a shutdown corner? We sure are paying him as one.

Not sure what you are "hearing from TC". However, Gamble has only practiced one day.

I think Gamble will have a much better year. I believe that last year a lot of our vets didn't give it their all because of how our season was heading. With a new offense and better Defensive line, Gamble will improve. The offense was so bad last year it kept our defense on the field too long and wore them down, This year hopefully would be different.

Also when does Gambles contract run out?

It appears he has a hamstring problem which is not good. Those take a while to completely recover from.

Practices he missed were primarily due to an intestinal virus.

He did tweak his hamstring, but I don't think it is severe enough to call a hamstring problem.

revis & aso come close

Sure they are definitely some of the best in the business, but imo neither could shut down Larry Fitzgerald 1 on 1.

To be effective against him, Gamble will need help from the safeties and lb's, as well as good pressure against the qb. And even then, he might still get burned on occassion.

I think you are correct. I believe that a lot of Gamble's problem last year was mental. Losing and going out there realizing you have virtually no chance of winning does that.

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
