Winners and losers from tonight

Those two throws to LaFell in the endzone looked like pretty darn good coverage by the DB to me. It's hard to call them drops when somebody else's hands got to the ball.

Couldn't agree more, I think everyone (Cam, LaFell and the DB in coverage)was doing their jobs on those two plays and the defense was just very good. I guess people wanted to see Cam's first TD pass and when it didn't happen, their disappointment directed itself at the guy who didn't catch the ball.

Sort of the same thing with the Edwards "drop", the DBs hands were all up in that, though a stronger, more experienced receiver probably could have tucked it more decisively and held on.

I would imagine he was told not to scramble and to focus solely on passing the ball.

I'm pretty sure that was the mandate as well.

I thought Cam was pretty good, he's going to wreak some havoc with those rollouts and screens. His accuracy is shaky mid-deep range but overall this was an encouraging first appearance. He definately doesn't carry himself like a rookie out there, if anything (as someone earlier said) he looks almost too confident.

Haven't gotten to watch the game in its entirety, but from what I did see:

Winners: defense (Fua, Anderson, senn spec stuck out from what I saw), Armanti, special teams, Clausen, Cam, Olsen

Losers: Trash fans that act like Jimmy was the reason their father left them at a young age, when it was really because daddy could only handle so much full retard before deciding that rinsing his mouth out with a shotgun was less painful than listening to his idiot child boo at pickle jars and cheer on bags of fig newtons

Fun...Fun won tonight I haven't seen players happy and fun during a game (preseason or not) in a long time.

Amen. For a long time, Panther games were either painful or boring. It's amazing what happens when your team actually does something :/
