My gal and I went fishing down in a creek bed just down in South Carolina and caught a slew of little Blue Gills, Longears

... and 1 very small large mouth bass

In total, we have 14 fish in there. We went and got 20 Rosey Red minnows and poured them in there tonight. We turned off all the lights and watched a movie and when we turned the lights back, the minnows were all gone. So, they're feeling acclimated enough to their new surroundings to gorge themselves at least! The large mouth was sluggish the first little bit but he's pepped up quite a bit of late. It's fun just watching them meander around.

Good times.

I used to have a 125 and 75 gal tank setup for freshwater.. had a fahaka puffer in the 125.. had to sell them a couple years back..

the bass should be awesome to watch.. especially if you feed it a minnow from time to time and watch him stalk it.

nice, I always wanted a bass when I was little... I almost got to take some rainbow trout home from work but they needed to dissect them for an experiment :( poor little guys were fun.

I had a friend that raised a smallmouth in a fish tank... he had it for a few years before he decided to eat it :( lol.

    • I think the Bevell hire has more to do with adding actual veteran head coaching experience to the staff than anything else. But I do wholeheartedly agree that the obsession in general with Seattle needs to come to an end. I mean we plucked the one guy there to be our GM who turned out to be our worst GM in franchise history in just a few short years and that's really saying something given our history there. Clearly trying to mimick Seattle in any way has not been productive. As far as Idzik many of us have asked the same question but at this point in time it doesn't really matter anymore because Canales is either going to lead this franchise to a winning record or he will be shown the door.
    • Why wasn't here even considered? Better record and save % than any of t he 3 goalies on the US squad.
    • That’s why Bevell is a good move. Idzik might not be chopped liver, he is just inexperienced and even less ready to be the play caller than Canales. I still say the playbook is limited which is a hinderance to calling plays, I would imagine.    Anyway Beavis lol… no Bevell, got to consecutive SBs as an OC and won one with 48 points or something. Should have won the second one. And had several more good years there.    They were the team we had to learn how to beat it took us til the third year I think before we could go into Seattle and successfully compete.   That is glass half full thinking, yep, but that is head and shoulders over what we have had here for a while. Certainly now.     In addition.. It was Canales’ boss. He knew more then , I would bet he knows more now. I can’t look at this as anything but a potential positive thing.  Hell he might be the guy that can look at Dave and say what the fug are you doing? And Dave will listen. I think I can hope for that.  Maybe not.
