A few spelling errors (dropping letters/semi-colon where an apostrophe should be) but other than that it was a great read.

Thanks.

thanks man....pounding it out at 3am can lead to some of that 2nd grade quality. as long as the content is solid, i can always clean up the formatting.

Yeah I noticed that too. Seemed to just be a product of not reading it the third and fourth time. Just small things. God my journalism professor drilled that so hard. Perhaps that's why I got a degree in it and don't want to do it. It is far too tedious and time consuming. Anyhow, great piece!

Oh definitely. I just felt like giving you the heads up. It's solid nonetheless.

I hope Jimmy eventually learns to translate his play from practice to gameday. People have been raving about how he looks at camp since it started, but I didn't really see that on the field. Seems like he just buckles under the pressure, or can't handle NFL game speed.

He did look much improved over last year, but all that means is that he rolls out (to the right) now instead of just throwing it away at the first sign of pressure.

I'll be watching closely on Friday to see how he does. Unless it's too much pressure on him if I'm watching closely, in which case I'll just kind of watch half heartedly.

Good write up. Very informative stuff. You seem to actually know the game. What is this? A media guy I might actually like? Impossible.

Sounds like Clausen might be fit to start after all. He needs to win over the "fans" though (the ones that boo him consistently). I am all for starting him if he's our best option at the time. Sounds like Newton had a rough day. But last week it was the same story. Bad day followed by a terrific day. They happen, especially for rookies. They need to start him out in shotgun every day for a few snaps, then move him under center. Get that footwork down. I went back and looked at all his plays from Saturday and I actually see it now when I didn't see it then. Not quite quick enough. May be because his legs are a mile long, IDK. Definitely needs to get it down. He drives into his throws, as you said, he's money. It'll get worked out.

As far as Anderson goes, I don't think he'll be cut. Rivera seems to like him in the mentor role. I don't really care how he practices. He'll be there if Newton and Clausen are both hurt (which would lead to the meltdown of this entire forum).

Again, great write up.

I say the Panther's staff should work off both Cam and Clausen until Cam can get adjusted to his new style of playing. They look like they can make great contribution to the team.

Heck it took Clausen a new coaching staff and a year under his belt to get the compliments he's getting, yet u guys want Cam to be Superman in 4 weeks.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
