So lets say Goodson fumbles a couple times tomorrow night...

Goodson + Clausen + 3rd down also spells disaster (double edge sword).....Jimmy has trouble if he even thinks there is pressure. Goodson is a swinging gate if asked to pass protect.

I also don't believe Carolina is attempting to "show off" Clausen.

Maybe not. Just my prediction. I think Jimmy is already feeling the "pressure" but whether or not he and Godson for that matter choke on their opportunities remains to be seen. I think they will get those opportunities however and provided the goal is to dangle JC out there a bit the, packages and playcalling will allow them both to have a real opportunity at success.

Look at Deshaun Foster.. never fixed it. Not all backs fix the problem.

I think the kid needs more than 2 seasons to prove otherwise.. if he's in his 4th year and puts 4 or 5 fballs on the ground, then I'll agree if the coaching staff decides to release him..

There are a few on this board ready to cut anybody that doesn't please them on a daily basis. Who draws their ire? Otah, Goodson, Gamble, Robinson, E. Brown, etc.

If these few posters were running the team we would definitely be in the Luck Sweepstakes by the end of the year.

He still has time to correct it though, or least show that he knows how to secure the ball. Fumbles do happen, and sometimes can't be avoided. Defensive players get paid too, and they are going to get some good shots in or strip the ball.

But if he consistently fumbles over the course of this season, it will probably be time to part ways. I have a feeling Rivera will solve the issue though, as he has already begun to address the problem. HOLD ON TO THAT FOOTBALL!

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
