Funny, everyone before the draft said rookie QBs and rookie Head Coaches was the new recipe for success. They cited examples such as Ryan and Smith, Harbaugh and Flacco, Sanchez and Ryan, etc

Why was being a rookie QB an advantage to winning before Cam played and now it's a reason we shouldn't expect success?

now one ever has said being a rookie QB was an advantage to winning.

We have no clue what this team will do....preseason games 1 and 2 w/ limited key pieces to your team aren't going to legitimately foreshadow what this team will do.

We will know about this team 4 weeks into the regular season.....

I mean Carolina isn't running their offense....and don't have many of the key cogs that will make it work.....and we have played 2 preseason games. Spinning what has occured as proof of your predicted doomed season is nothing but premature garbage talk. It is glorfied practice....a lot of focus on what we do poorly w/ what we do well put on the shelf. Next game is about the only one that means poo....and it won't be the end all be all either.

Hating

How many "great plays" have you seen from Cam? How many "mistakes" have you seen?

I've seen 2-3 "great plays" and countless "mistakes". If it was more balanced, I wouldn't be "hating"

As a water boy, TRD was hit in the head by an inaccurate pass(he wakes up screaming "back-foot throw!" to this day) of a run first qb during practice. He was in a coma for 4 weeks. Matt Moore nursed him back to health and they have shared a bond ever since.

Dolphins are a lot better than people here think for some reason. They went 7-9 last year and upgraded their offense.

We went 2-14 last season and broke even on offense

meh I think broke even is overly critical. The addition of the two tight ends, along with the new coaches, counters any lost quarterback play IMO. I think we're going to have a better offense overall, though it might not be as much as many of us would like.

    • With Schoen and Dan Morgan being tight I’d figure we knew this was coming and since he is released, Dan didn’t bite.    But, a quick search says this is at least 80% cap related. They have No cap space and save 8 or 9 million with releasing him.  He has been a captain his entire time there. 145 tackles this year.  They are picking 5th with a new staff and looking at Styles. Hitting that age 30 season and had a disc issue last year (meaning 2024) that did not require surgery.  I haven’t really watched him play but he activated the antennae.
    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
