Pilares has high ankle sprain

Increases his chances of making it through waivers and thus getting to our practice squad while he heals up. I doubt very many teams want to use up a roster spot on a player that has an injury that could keep him out for an unknown period of time (we have seen some high ankle sprains take months and months to heal)

From Men'sHealth.com

Recovery can take much longer than the common ankle sprain. If the injury is stable, a doctor will typically put the player in a cast for 6 weeks. If unstable, a syndesmotic screw may be placed between the tibia and fibula ligaments to hold them in position while the ligament heels. Rest here is crucial: these screws stay in place for three months—if walked on, they can break. Expect a player to be out for at least 3 months.

You'd think all the injuries we have had, it'd force Hurney to finally make a move on somebody..instead he still does nothing.

I'm not suggesting we prioritize a WR in FA...but I'm getting tired of seeing players we could use in the FA pool and us doing nothing, especially with more injuries mounting..

    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
    • I thought tanking wasn't actually a thing and we were firmly against it though?
