It's always good to see fellow tigers doing well in the NFL (jamarcus...frickin bum), but I hope he doesn't line up on smitty for his sake. Smitty has a way of destroying opponents mentally and physically.

when a single player runs over your team to the degree Cam did in that LSU game......that falls on the entire defense. An example is in that you tube clip when Cam cruised right past PP for a score. PP's job is to play D....not just defend passes. He seemed to forget that.....he specifically mentioned why Newton hardly passed and it was b/c he and his D couldn't stop him.....yet he wanted to act his D didn't get a chance.

Yeah, but other than Alabama, LSU was the closest team to beating Auburn..and the game was at Auburn. Game was tied at 17 in the fourth quarter and a great qb made a great play.

Peterson was the one who tackled him at the goal line after making a quick change of direction.

Regardless, like you said the play resulted from the front seven not containing, something that was basically impossible for college defenses vs Cam. You can't deny PP greatness as a college player.

edit: peterson's biggest mistake there was taking a questionable angle. the fact that he was even in position to make that tackle is a good thing and as i said above you are asking a lot if you expect a db to bring down newton when he he has a head of steam and is in the open field. even if peterson is poor against the run, corners' primary responsibilities are to defend the pass. you want to say that peterson is garbage or w/e then at least show some tape of him getting worked on a route (i'm guessing there is not much of it)

I am not talknig about just any CB. PP should of made that play. He is good enough and big enough.......

point was PP took himself out the defensives complete inability to contain Cam. He was part of the reason Cam didn't have to pass.....not as big of a role as others but the main point was how he tried imply his teammates didn't give him a chance to play.

My point was more of what a lame statement it was excluding himself from the beatdown ont he ground. While again not as important of a role as some of his teammates.....lame for him to take himself out of the mix.
