Panthers Scouting Pat White hard

Listening to ESPN radio today, they, (Mel Kiper, etc.) had three QBs going high, Sanchez, Stafford and the kid from Kansas State, (Josh Freeman?) After that, they said there wouldn't be a QB going before the 5th round...

So yeah, there are a couple of QB options to evaluate...

my thing is we need a DT,DE,and CB and Oline depth

DT-if we sign robertson this takes care of that

CB- the CB class is weak no need to take someone too high

DE-this class is weak to idk

so i think we could take pat white and i hope we do. put he needs to put some weight on him

why did PFT single the panthers out when they said

The Panthers had two or three guys who were keeping a close eye on White as he threw passes.

does that mean something

this is the second or third time that we have been looking at him, which leads me and many others to believe that they are looking at him as a serious option.

Just reporting what was said, wasn't commenting on it.

I will comment on how everyone on here thinks the players from their college schools are always simply the perfect players to meet the Panthers needs. It happens every year and it's pretty funny how it happens...

CB in the 2nd folks. Marshall is an UFA after this season. We must be ready in case he leaves. Hurney, Fox and Meeks have shown much love in the past of drafting CB's early.

QB's.....well, not so much.

(and no, I don't have an answer to the fact that all three QB's are free agents this time next year except to say that they probably prefer to find experienced FA's. Plus I think Jake gets extended 2-3 years this summer or earlier).

So is he a 3rd round pick?

that panther third rounder needs to go OL, DL, or Secondary

i know the past two drafts the panthers have gone bpa, and it's worked out very well, but jesus chris if we draft pat white im going to be more pissed than i was when we took dwayne jarrett

All 3 QB s contracts end after this season so we need to do something.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
