Electrician since getting out of the military, BSEE and AS in Computer Information Systems. Currently working as a Automation Analyst in Big Oil.

What I do is hard to explain but if you look up "SCADA" in wikipedia, I pretty much do all of that.

Commercial or Residential?

My boo and my pops are both in commercial in Charlotte....dad is a developer and bf is a proj mgr....he is looking to do the same thing you are though...just finished his Real Estate Licensing Class

Nah, just pretty much stayed awake in class.

I got my degrees later in life (my 30's) and worked all while raising kids.

If you are young, stay in school before getting life started. The route I took was hard but very worth it.

I am in residential sales. But only work for developers, never in the "general broker" market.

When I finish my GC will start building homes to either sell for profit or keep and start a rental business.

Considering getting my HVAC as well and letting my father run that business while I handle the real estate and building side.

I'm going back to school to get my Real Estate Appraisal License..maybe by the time I finish the market will be a tad better and I can start making more money and working more for myself
