Didn't we beat zona last year with a worst team?

If this game were in Charlotte, we would still be a 3 point underdog. That's because Kolb (great or not) will probably look great against this defense. They make everyone (even Andy Dalton, a rookie) look good. If Fitzgerald has less than 100 yds and 2 tds, I will be pleasantly surprised.

I know we can double team him and try to make Kolb beat us. But if they get their ground game going (and God knows we've looked weak against the run all preseason) we will have to dedicate 8 in the box and Fitz will have a field day. If they establish the run early, we won't be able to blitz because they will start in with the play action.

THis game is absolutely on our defense because I don't see us scoring more than 20 pts. Holding this Cards offense in week one in Arizona to less than 20 points will be a real accomplishment considering how we looked against the Steelers in that first series.

I would put our number at around 24. If we score 24 points, that should be enough to win this game on the road. When was the last time the Panthers scored 24 points?

Sorry, but I'm a realist. We could make a good game out of it, but I see:

AZ 23

Car 16

shut up

Why are people acting like AZ is such a great team when Jimmy clausen beat them? Were talking about one upgrade on the their team, and pp7 doesn't count cuz dominque is way better than him AT THIS POINT and time. So were talking about Kevin kolb... Kolb???? Kolb is the reason everyone thinks we'll have trouble? Ef my butt with a rusty razor blade, it's kevin kolb. He is not a legitimate reason to say were gonna lose to the cards. And so what about our dts, Arizona is the only team we don't have to worry about them running it on us.

Well they added Jeff King and Richard Marshall, so I am sure those are upgrades from what they had last year. Well let me retract Rodgers-Cromartie was definitely a better player but King no doubt.

no, you're not a realist. if you were a realist, you could say this game could go either way, because both teams have a lot of question marks. you're just used to watching uninspired football the last two years.

hey guys kolb was not our only upgrade we had. We are a much better team then we were last year. new def cord that knows how to coach. yeah you guys saw DRC making big plays but DRC was avg he got burned allot and did not know how to tackle. It was either all or nothing with him. We also have King and Heap at TE. If Beanie Wells stays healthy he will have 1200 to 1600 yards this year he has been a beast in preseason. The only thing you have going for you is your running game. Cam sucks and he wont beat us with his arm.

lol KING AND HEAP

a guy far removed from his prime and whom the ravens replaced with Dennis Pitta, and a guy with less maneuverability and YAC ability than brandon manumaleuna. The best 2 TE set IN. THE. LEAGUE.

im confident AZ this year will be 10-6 and im rooting for my team as you want your team to win. As the experts are saying that the Cards will win. I just think the Cards are s better team than they showed last year and on paper we have more proven talent. Good Luck to you guys

Um, Carolina beat AZ last year w/ Clausen and Fox handicapping our team. You proved last year that you sucked.

AZ and Carolina are overall pretty equally matched....different strengths and weaknesses.....but your post is just comical. Kevin Kolb is not the missing piece to a 10 win season over last year for you guys.

You can't say much about Heap because the Panthers picked up Shockey who was let go by the Giants and he still has some miles left on the tires.

But we do have some threat with Shockey and Olsen as well as Smith. Plus Cam has a helleva foot game if needed.

Many here have lamented the fact that we pick up other teams cast-offs. Wonder how Ariz. fans have to feel about King and Heap?

Practice is over. The playbook just got bigger. I am giddy over the prospects of this defense. Although I am realist enough to see weaknesses, they will not hinder my anticipation for witnessing our D. We were decent last year, I am hoping for good this year.

My giddy overflows, and GOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!

I predict Kolb will have a good day passing against our new defense. Learning a new system takes time, and Kolb is good enough to exploit our growing pains.

Larry Fitz is good enough. Kolb? Kolb is just Matt Moore.....who had ups and down in Reid's QB friendly system.

Sorry. Had to get in on this too. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Beanie Wells? 1600 yards? Beanie Wells?

Sorry. That too is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

Also, getting QB advice from a Cardinals fan is like getting financial advice from a homeless man, especially one who is ecstatic over the recent signing of Kevin Kolb..
