CJ and Hardy

Were all over the place, never knew CJ was that athletic for a guy his size. Both him and Hardy did great. Can't wait to add some experienced DT's to plug the middle and they are gonna be even more dominating.

Also, I believe CJ was worth the money.

Not too excited yet. Both of those photos show them beating the WORST LT in the league. Levi Brown. Everybody abuses him. He is ok at run blocking but horrible at pass blocking.

I don't think Levi Brown is the worst LT in the league. He actually is decent.

One good thing I noticed today is that the Falcons have a weak O line I think the Tackle position which will really be great for us with the talent we have on the end. Shitcago destroyed the falcons today because of a weak o line and all I heard was how now teams know how to get to the Falcons. I honestly think we can beat them this year.

Oh yea. decent???? Here is one link with facts to support my claim that Levi is the worst pass blocking LT in the league. Just scroll down to# 32.

Pat is suspended for two games, would rather have Jamaal. DT's adjusted well and LB's filled the gaps quicker as the game progressed, but there's still work to be done up front.

1 game now.

I think we need to sign multiple DTs, and I have no problem with Pat being one of them even if he can't play next week. It'll give him some time to get in playing shape and used to practicing again.

I'd like to sign both Williamses, or a Williams and Harris.

CJ and Hardy balled their asses off. I know CJ in coverage isn't ideal, but it's part of the blitzing scheme and he did ok with it. If he had picked off that pass, it would have been a thing of beauty. Just getting his hands up to break up the pass was very good (although Gamble was in position to actually catch it if CJ hadn't touch it lol). He also had that play earlier in the game where he dropped back in coverage and closed on the short pass to make the tackle like a Safety. Stopped it for only a couple yards gain.

Weak OL or not, I think we're just fine at DE if neither gets hurt. It won't necessarily be this year, but I think we'll have one of the top 2 or 3 DE tandems in the league soon.

    • After listening to Morgan's presser twice, I came away with some key beliefs. First of all, I don't think he's a bullshitter. What you see is what you get. When he says something, he means it.  The Teppers really have evolved as owners. Morgan has mentioned how they're easy to work with--a pleasure to work with a few times now. There seems to be a good relationship between all of them (and include Dave Canales on that). We'll see if it lasts. Yes, no one wanted to come to Carolina with the previous management, but that seems to have changed. The team signed arguably the top Edge, LB and OT on the market, two of them on pretty good deals and one on what I'll say is "not a bad one." And, credit Sunshine Dave "Flowers and Cotton Candy" Canales for helping to change the culture. Morgan mentioned getting guys--and I'm paraphrasing--that are not only great football players but great people. Don't look for us to be acquiring any James Pearce types anytime soon, just saying. We'll see if that holds true in the future. Dan Morgan really has set up the Panthers to take the BPA/BAP. He mentioned it at least a couple of times, and he doesn't seem pressured to pinpoint a particular position. He just wants quality players that will help the team. This is how it's going to be (to your joy or dismay, probably for as long as he's here), and personally I love it. Many of us know how Morgan was when he played: aggressive! That's what he's going to be when making acquisitions. He explicitly said it, and emphasized it. All avenues are open (think FA, waivers...the draft)! Personally, as long as it's controlled aggression and not reckless aggression, I love it.  On KP: "Mobility is big in this league."  He basically says if another QB is the BPA while drafting--we're going by our board, people--we're going to add them.        ...
    • Canes are so fascinating. Despite inconsistent defense and poor goalie play they keep winning.
    • I like Morgan's approach but I'll wait for a few winning seasons before giving too much praise.
