Green Bay? Playoffs? Unrealistic? Fine: let's talk reality!

See this is what I'm talking about. Always gotta have a negative spin on things and kill my buzz. Why?

Wait and see if we become at least 0-3 before thinking like that. Even non-fans are excited! The media's excited! Why can't you be?

I had the Panthers beating the Jags...But that was before Garrard was cut.

Now i'm not so sure.

You have some really arbitrary rules surrounding when we are allowed to act certain ways.

Is there a central rulebook for this?

expectations make many a team crumble, while no expectations make many a team come from nowhere to be contenders. we've got a shot.

No that's cop-out, non-committal, easy exit attitude. "I'm scared to act like a winner because I might lose, so let me act like a loser and hope to win!"

How are we the top of the division? Everyone is 0-1. Is because we only lost by 7?

Because of how you choose to view it fool! That's my point!

Yeah, it's called not being negative. Some people's choosing to be "real" are just people that are afraid to believe in the team that we all love. Be positive, "keep pounding", have faith, be a fan. Based off of "realistic" expectations, in 2003, we had no business winning ANY of our games. Were you rooting in "reality" back then, or where you in belief that the cardiac cats could beat the Rams, could beat the Eagles, could go toe to toe with the Patriots in the best super bowl ever played.

Watered down fandom is sickening.

We actually are at the top because of tiebreaker rules.

Well that actually depends on who you ask. ESPN or NFL.com. One says we are, the other say we are not. But that wasn't my point. My point is the attitude. You have 1 day and a half between now and Sunday!

Are you really going to have that much pie on your face, if you just commit 100% and act like we cam win this damn game, even if we don't get it? Whose going to care if you "were wrong" and we lose, a year from now?

Who is going to remember it? Who cares?

PS: I'm not editing that misspell. That was a total slip and I'm keeping it there.

I'm staying positive, but also, realistic. If we stay competitive Sunday, regardless of the outcome, I'll be happy. As long as we show some kind of improvement. If our special teams is better, our dline better, etc, I'll be happy.

But don't count your team out yet. Like someone mentioned, no one expected the 2003 Panthers to go to the super bowl, did they? Not comparing that team to the current one, but, you just never know. Don't be pessimistic, but don't blindly think we're going to the Super Bowl just yet.

For the first time in 3 years, we have something to be excited about with this team. Let's enjoy it.
