Jags fans jealous of the Panthers being a more successful franchise?

Jacksonville Jaguars overall record: 134-124-0, 5-6 in playoffs, 6 playoff appearances, 2 division titles, 0 conference titles

Carolina Panthers overall record: 119-139-0, 6-4 in playoffs, 4 playoff appearances, 3 division titles, 1 conference title

Panthers have a waaaaay worse overall record but do have a slightly better playoff resume. Both have 2 AFC/NFC conference championship appearances, Jags are 0-2, Panthers 1-1 and 0-1 in the Super Bowl.

Honestly, neither is more successful than the other, Jags win overall record by a huge margin not even close, Panthers have 1 Super Bowl appearance and a slightly better playoff record (6-4 to 5-6) yet have 2 less playoff appearances than Jacksonville so it's pretty washed.

It's funny how no one knows anything about Jacksonville but they are the smallest market in the league and that's obviously why. 134-124 to 119-139 is a huge margin though. Historically the Jags have the 15th best winning percentage including playoffs, The Carolina Panthers? 24th. You guys are way off.

15 games? seriously? 15 total games is a huge margin? That's less than a game more a year on average.

Glad we got Cam and not Gabbert though. In 2 years we will have more wins than the Jags. Gabbert will be a backup at best.

    • I would say the extremes from both camps in these conversations have to do with the blurring of the fact Bryce is a first overall pick and the expectations for that draft slot fair or not far exceed just being a top 20-25 starter amongst your peers. Regardless. All logical Panthers fans want him to be the answer.
    • The offseason is always when hope springs eternal. If you look past that, you can see a very bad roster with a lot more questions than definitive answers. Let's hope we get a lot of those right, because I think we are a lot closer to another impatient Tepper reset than we probably think.
    • These arguments are getting more and more disingenuous from both the pro and anti Bryce crowd. Bryce looked very good for stretches down the final 8 games. He finally showed glimpses of the guy that was projected as a top QB pick in the draft. Bryce also didn't look like a top 10 NFL QB.  I think we are so far removed from Prime Cam that we forget what an elite QB looks like. I could tell that when people were losing their minds and simping for Sam Darnold. This season needs to finally showcase Bryce as a franchise talent. If that doesn't happen, it's time to pivot. There are very few recent examples of QB's struggling or being a mixed bag through the first three seasons of starting and then suddenly becoming frachise caliber players.
