I will say the Line has done a terrific job in pass protection.

Makes me wonder if our Line can only be good at one at a time since we sucked at pass protection when we were a run team, and now were a pass team and we suck at run blocking.

exactly.. The whole "well stewy is doing fine, DWill must suck!" is nonsense. They are 2 completely different runners. Stewart is more effective at breaking tackles, so he can occasionally break out of a tackle or 2 in the backfield and still make a decent play out of it. DWill can't do that, hes a smaller more elusive back, and needs some help at the line of scrimmage. If he gets to that second level, look out.

There is nothing wrong with Williams. The difference is the playcalling. William's is good cutting back and out on the edge not between the tackles. THe way we are running right now really supports Stewart who is harder to take down and more durable. I don't see any plays which gets Williams out in space on the edge either through the air or on the ground. He really hasn't been very good up the middle through three games. I don't want to make excuses for him but, it is the coach's job to devise an offense which takes advantage of their personnel. I don't think we are devising plays which maximize his strengths which are shiftiness and quick acceleration but average top speed.

TBH there have been a few but they were all eaten up by the LBs on the other team. With teams bringing in the SS in the box most toss and cut back lanes are gone. Dwill has never been good at breaking tackles and as you have said there have been few times he has been out in space. A few crack screens they ran with him this year though got him out in space and worked well.

Yea everyone expects our runs to go up the gut/between the tackles, we would be good to toss some outside to goodson, wonder if he is in the dog house or something.
