First off, I would like to say that I have much respect for the Panthers. During the offseason I picked them as a sleeper in our little office game going on here. As of right now, the Panthers have proven me correct. Hope Panther fans give respect to fans of opposing teams (as long as their not idiots lol). I'm on the 500 level and I wouldnt want to throw any hecklers to the lower decks :D. I just hope this is an injury free game along with a Broncos win of course. Come on!!! You can afford one loss against a non conference team . It will benefit you during the home stretch. Anyway, I'm not sure how tailgating goes for fans of opposing teams but hopefully I'll take part of the tailgating posted activities posted in the forums.

One nice thing about the NFC South - I have never had an issue wearing Panthers colors when going to a game in Tampa, Atlanta, or New Orleans. Okay, the ATL fans were a little rude a few weeks ago as we were walking out after that horrible performance of ours (perhaps a lot rude), but nothing that couldn't be handled by being pleasant in return.

Sure, there are always a few bad eggs in each city, but as long as you don't "taunt the natives", everything is usually okay. While I have attended games at BOA with friends who were fans of the opposing team, I have not seen them treated poorly -- and I would hope that Panthers fans would treat visitors nicely around the entire stadium, just as we would expect to be treated if we go on a road trip to support our team.

The Panthers 2009 scheduled road games include Dallas, NY Giants, New England, NY Jets, and the NFC West. Something tells me that visitors aren't going to be welcomed warmly in the NE, but I'm willing to give DAL, SF, or ARI a try. SEA, not so much - although I love visiting that city.

No, we don't play in the NFC West amongst the dregs of the league. Even our whipping boys (the Saints) are a pretty decent team. We must win every game to make sure we are in the playoffs, and we need to keep our spotless home record. The only budgeted loss we may able to come to terms with is next week at the Giants.

I had a great time in Oakland this year - ATL fans, at least inside the Dome, were far more rude.

I go to at least one away game every year, and if we play a cold weather team in September I will head north most likely - would like to get to ARI as well...but the far off goal is to get to all the stadiums eventually....

    • Lanorris Sellers is my choice but I'm biased of course. He should honestly stay another year and develop as a passer though.
    • DCs have got a couple of years of Canales' play-calling now to see what he's doing the same between TB & CAR. Most fans without an anti-player agenda understood coming in that this was going to be a season about developing the young guys (something most fans have been clamoring for since the soft reboots started taking place), but the coaches are in the same boat imo. Not only does Evero need to show that last season was an aberration, Canales needs to show that he has an offensive mind that can compete with some of these great defensive coordinators around the league. I think one of the adjustments for that particular play is going to be having Tremayne (or whoever the WR ends up being) create a contact with the SS before his break to the corner if the CB has outside leverage. I recall seeing the same (or at least a very similar) play drawn up during preseason where XL was breaking open to the corner after getting to the CBs outside shoulder but the ball went elsewhere due to pressure. Shoot... I think this might be the season that I finally challenge myself to try and figure out which plays/concepts we see most often and when. The last decade of reviewing all-22s after frustrating L's has helped me learn so much more about the game. 😄
    • I think he should keep it tbh and try to improve at it all. We hired him to be the f'ing playcaller and head coach, so deal with the bumps of someone learning on the job with a limited QB. It's fine.
