read some of this bull*hit on a taints board lmfao:

What makes New Orleans special is that it's not Austin, New York, or Cambridge. New Orleans doesn't sell out to trying to be hip; doesn't sell out for the money; doesn't sell out for intellectualism. New Orleans is the spirit of America, and when the spirit begins selling the pieces of what makes it what it is, not only in New Orleans hurt but so too is the entire country.

The problem with the rest of the country is that it values money over spirit, and sadly, that mindset is seeping into the last hope for America.

wow

EDIT: if anyone wants to read this quote and/or troll http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/b/75/New-Orleans-Saints-Talk.aspx

The state of Louisiana has been paying the Saints to stay in New Orleans since long before Katrina. As a matter of fact, a new deal was recently worked out (February 2009) to reduce that amount since the state has been on the verge of complete financial disaster for many years.

http://www.nflgridirongab.com/2009/04/30/saints-and-the-state-of-louisiana-work-out-a-deal-to-keep-team-in-superdome-till-2025/

"The deal reportedly could save the state $281 million when compared with the current agreement that pays the Saints $23 million in subsidies, the state would make $85 million in improvements to the Dome, and Saints owner Tom Benson and his family would buy the vacant Dominion Tower and New Orleans Centre and lease office space back to the state."

Question: How bad is it when-

a) the state owns the Superdome

b) the state is paying the Saints to stay and play there and

c)the state has to pay for the upgrades?

LMAO!

I was just joking with my cousin about how horrible advertising is getting in general. I believe I said "In a few years the home of the Packers will be known as 'Lambeau-Tampax Field'."

If anyone is interested in the horrors of advertising in modern times I would check out Morgan Spurlock's latest - "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold." It's hilarious.
