yeah, it would have been a bad idea to include a link in another one of the million peppers threads.

a thread with only a link....genius.

:coolgleamA:

I dont read to far into the older threads. They are usually way off the subject. Time for something new. Next time I will have you proofread my thread to see if it is post worthy.

Interesting. Quoted from the story. For those of you who cant read and just try to be cool forum police.

I continue to hear from league sources that Carolina would accept trading Peppers for the second-round pick New England acquired for Matt Cassel (34th overall).

Sounds like Vic is trying to save face. I don't see this trade going down or the Panthers accepting just a 2nd round pick.

I might have to agree with you here. Usually I like Vic's columns, but I think he went out on a limb on this last one and is now just trying to make it sound like, "Oh, well really....uhm, it was just a kinda hunch...errr..."

I think the Patriots would gladly accept Peppers, but the Panthers organization won't want a 2nd round pick.

Well I wouldnt take a break from the discussion to come and cry about this one.

Give me a link where vic's article is in another post.

If this deal is so close, I just wonder why pep isnt signing the tender. I think there will be something else with the 34. Maybe a next year pick?

At this point, I don't really care where he goes. I hate the Patriots and the Cowboys but if it means we get rid of his $17 mil. salary and get some good picks in return, than I don't care. I don't want to pay a player $17 mil. when he doesn't even want to be a part of the team.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
