and the NFL going back to Tradition and not putting Pink all over their uni's will not hurt Breast Cancer Awareness.

Yeah but its not gonna happen anytime soon. Not sure how you making a thread will change that.

The other posters are right its mutually beneficial. Its putting the nfl in new markets and vice versa. They are both benefitting and spreading awareness at the same time.

God this tiny gesture is just so ridiculous bah gawd.

What I hate is that your wife / gf demands you buy everything this month with the pink ribbon and only 1% or so goes to actual breast cancer non-profits, who spend about 5% on curing breast cancer.

So that $40 two pack of Oil of Oleh gives $1 to a program that gives 5 cents to research. Let me give $20 to that guy in the lab and be done with it for the year.

Look at us we're the NFL we're taking a noncontroversial stance on something to distract you from the fact we take dump trucks of cash from products that are the leading causes of heart disease and two of the three biggest of cancer!

The NFL has just about convinced every man available that if you want to watch a sport, watch the NFL.

The Pink is all about getting your wife / gf to watch it with you..

what? it's basically a lock that the nfl adorning uniforms with pink raises awareness. that's the entire point of advertising, esp for something like breast cancer where people typically do not think about it unless they know someone suffering from it

suck it up, it's not hurting anyone

I guess some people might side different if one of their own were to be affected by cancer. Didn't D-Will have alot to do with this? It's for a good cause regardless and I'm saying there are far more problems to fix in the NFL than this. Man people griping about something positive! Most are probably the same ones saying players should be better role models too. Hey I've got an idea let's cut out NFL Play60 as well which is setup to help fight obesity amongst kids.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
