Favre's comments on Rodgers/Packers

His comments scream, "if I was still there we would have won 2 or 3 superbowls". I do see a problem with that, considering that he said that the Vikings team he played on his first year was the most talented team he's ever been on. Dude just can't stand that Rodgers is on his way to having a better career than him, and that he'll never be viewed the same in GB fans' eyes.

I think that Brett's right in this instance.

The Vikings team comments were after his last year in GB, and after a year with the Jets.

I remember the press conference while He was still in GB after ^He made the "most talented team hrs ever been on" comments.

The media really did eat him alive after He said that. I personally see nothing wrong with his statements. He gave Aaron his props, but then realistically made an assessment. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

People need to stop reading between the lines. Brett meant what he said and what he said was accurate. What is wrong about Rodgers being a good quarterback who fell into a great situation?

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
