Can Pep Ever Come Home Again?

irony.

Oh the irony.

Peppers leaves for more money. Everyone hates him.

Moose, definately left for the money, and people still worship him.

Two players that left for the same reasons.

One is treated like he raped your daughter,

The other, your lining your daughters up to marry the man.

I was butt hurt the way he left.

But would I take him back? Yes. He's still a freak on the field and I would get over the hurt feelings really quick.

Would the Panthers take him back? I think that for now probably not. Is that a never? I think even Big Cat can forgive. I am not still reeling over his leaving. If Moose can come back, why not Pep? (although it looks like the Bears have him locked in for a long time contract wise)

It's funny how some Panther fans still don't realize that we didn't make an attempt to resign Peppers after the '09 season.

Pep wanted out after the '08 season, but changed his mind once he got a chance to work under new DC Ron Meeks, and new D-Line coach Brian Baker, but at that time it was too late.

This shouldnt even be a discussion. He wanted to play for a different team and get out of NC. He was really good sometimes but lazy also. Time to move on...we have bigger and better things to look forward to than Peppers feeling sorry for himself because "we made no attempt to resign him". When he said that BS...wow

Later Peppers...go to a team that will be in Green Bay's...and now Detroit's rearview mirror

The difference between Moose and Pep is that Pep bitched and moaned for 2 years until he was allowed to walk. Moose just so happened to hit the open market after a big year and took a contract that we weren't able to offer, also unlike Pep.
correction.

Moose was cut, cause he wouldn't redo his contract when a 10 million dollar bonus (that everyone knew he wouldn't get), and he signed to the bears within hours of free agency, which definately leads most to believe there was tampering.

Peppers didn't bitch and moan at all. If you think asking for more money is bitching, i hope you never ask for a raise.

Don't let the facts stop your delusions though.

I was just watching this video and am so happy, even after the loss, about this team. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PySTbOtJ5gE

Recently I saw the picture of Cam and Pep talking. It was said in the media one time that Pep didn't like our QB situation. The team then goes on to give Jake $20mill. I might leave too if I wanted to compete but had no faith in the guy on the other side of the ball.

I hope Cam was like "Hey brother, you can come home anytime you like!"

So my question is...

Can Pep come home, ever, ala Reggie White? Supremely talented older player guy with 2-3 good years left kinda guy. This was the offense he was lobbying for, just 2yrs late.

If we had 90 and 95?!? :( Alas, what could have been.

What say yee

while we're at it we should give him 5 million just for wearing the jersey, what do you think?

    • Thank you so much for posting links to the players so I don’t have to copy and paste the name and look it up.
    • All signs point to legit. We’ve been way better than our record the last few years it’s just we’ve had brutal injury luck. Also I’ve watched nearly every game this year and 3 things have stood out to me even when healthy from early in the year to now: 1. Early on Lee had some brutal rotations and situational coaching but he’s improved a ton there. We lost some close ones early we should’ve won. Sure most our recent games have been blowouts but in close games we’ve improved a ton there. 2. Defense. Overall team defense has improved so much, it’s not just hot shooting winning games. This D is absolutely a real trend and sustainable. LaMelo in particular has gone from flat out bad defensively to above average. We have so much length we always should’ve been good defensively but it took time for guys to buy in and really hone in on it which they have.   3. Pretty much all our young guys have taken strides forward. Moose’s development as a passer has been insane, Miller is putting it all together to be an elite 3 tier scorer able to hit 3s, mid range and finish at the rim. LaMelo still some poor shot selection but has cut the turnovers considerably. Kon has been a great shooter all year but has steadily improved in other aspects of the game too.      It has definitely been surprising how quickly it all came together out of nowhere but really none of it surprises me. We’ve been building towards this for years now.
