I'm waaay too young to have children obviously, but I'll share a little insight.

My sister used to bite kids and push them off swings and stuff, but eventually she turned into the little goody goody kid that did nothing wrong. She's a young teen now, so she's a f*cking handful, but I assume kids just go through phases. There's probably not a big difference between girls or boys, nor between by who or how well they are being raised. It's probably gonna happen one way or another.

I do agree, though, that taking a sh*t in the grass is just weird... I'd show abiv concern with that one.

I'm not trying to judge your sister, because I don't know her. But just because she quit biting and hitting people, and turned into a "goody goody" on the outside doesn't mean that she's a super nice person.

There used to be this girl in my high school, who was little miss Jesus, straight A student blah blah. In my calculus class we used to exchange papers to grade our homework, that bitch would erase my answers and change them sometimes so that I wouldn't have a higher grade than her. Of course no one would believe that little miss sunshine would do that. I wanted to choke that bitch.

I avoid spanking, honestly there hasn't been the need. I popped his hand when he was under 3 to get his attention but I haven't done that in years. I count and the moment I say "ONE" he straightens up. I think it is partly the kids personality too.

there is a HUGE difference between spanking and beating IMHO...

this time-out-only bullsh*t is why the county is going to sh*t :)

I got spanked..I remember getting my mouth washed out with soap too...and I survived..

We spanked ours some... if done correctly you've only got to do it a couple of times. Mostly with ours it was when they did something really stupid/dangerous or if they did something maliciously that they knew they weren't supposed to, and tried to get away with it.

Case in point, when my (then) 9 yo pushed our (then) 5 yo down the stairs... I whipped his ass for srs and yelled some too...

I spanked my kids, it works. How the fug to you put a kid in time out when they are acting up at the store? Exactly. One whack in the butt to get their attention.

My son is all about testing limits right now.

First I tell him no, then he gets a very annoying sound (similar to Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber) that he knows means no, then if he still doesn't stop I warn him that he's about to go in timeout.

In more serious scenarios timeout is replaced with a pop on the hand.

Now I'll never make him go pick his own switch and get in the tub and pull his pants down like my parents did. A switch on a bare ass ain't nothin to fug with

I had some whitetrash neighbors, that lived in this pooty trailer, as a kid. They used to make their kids go pick out their switch.

Not that the two have anything to do with each other, but these people were also fuging stupid as poo. Their trailer had a hole in the roof, which they would never fix, they kept fixing the sheet rock that would collapse. Then bitch that the drywall guy didn't fix it right......

I only got spanked with a hand..and when my dad spanked me, it meant that I did something REALLY bad ...and it flippin' hurt when he did it

I also got back handed a few times too...the last time when I was 17 and me and mom were fighting...yet again..and I said to her, "What are you gonna do, fuging hit me?"......well, we all know what happened next...

My mom did that. It was some nostalgic thing cause her mom made her pick a switch.

My dad just beat the poo out of me.

Wonder why I don't like to spank my child. If your going to hit your kid then it shouldn't be an angry emotional thing. And your child should always know why they are getting spanked.

I never use my hand...because it's more blunt force than actual stinging. My daughter had gotten one of these once...

really light. No ball/staple on it, but that thing will light up some skin. My daughter has never really gotten a spanking (maybe once), but my son constantly tests the limits. He hates the fact he gets a paddle with the Princesses.
