Who to root for week 6 Playoff edition

If you consider this season over for us already then read no further.

First the obvious and easy ones.. AFC vs NFC games.

Patriots over the cowboys

Bills over the Giants

Now for the NFC battles in order of importance

Us over the falcons

Saints over the Bucs- saints are more likely to win the division and our best shot is at the 2nd wildcard spot

Vikings over the Bears-bears have head to head tiebreaker over us so we need them to fail miserably from here on out and the Vikes are not likely to be any threat for a wildcard spot

Skins over the Eagles-let washington win the east and knock the eagles further out of contention

49ers over the Lions- not as big a deal as the games mentioned above but the logic behind it is the niners seem poised to win the west anyway and either Green Bay or Detroit is on pace to get the 1st wildcard spot if they don't win their division

Now before anybody makes an ass out of themselves let me just say if all goes well if the season ended today the 2nd wildcard spot would go to a team with 2 losses(3 losses if the above happens) and we are very well still alive.

we just need to go on a hot streak starting tomorrow.

in b4 somebody post the playoffs, PLAYOFFS??? video.

The Niners over the Lions is going to be the hardest one to happen. Vikes over bears is second hardest.

Isn't it "whom?"

I would disagree with the Saints. If we are going to the playoffs we need to win 9 games probably. If we win 9 games we will win the division as long as the other teams all beat themselves up. I would rather have a flat division.

Ya your right we have a better chance of the Saints going 4-7 or worse and us beating them in a tiebreaker vs us getting the 2nd wildcard spot.*ends sarcasm*

Did you even think about that post before you made it?

I did.

I think statistically we would want the division to all win against each other as opposed to one team running away with it.

    • And that makes you right.
    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
