Cutler - “Tell Martz I say f”"k him.”

You know it had Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, right??

That quartet would likely make any OC look like a genius, especially on the fast track the Rams played on...

Warner was bagging groceries and Faulk had just lost his job to James and was traded because he was a malcontent.

Martz moulded them together into an offensive juggernaut. Az Hakim tore things up from the slot ffs.

When asked by reporters after practice about the incident, Martz claimed ignorance.

"He's directing that at who?" Martz said. "Well, if it was at me, that's probably the nicest thing that [a] player has ever said to me during the game. Hey, you've got to understand that during the course of a game, a lot of things get said. It's a very strong, very competitive environment. That stuff is ... that's not an issue really; just part of the deal. During a game, a lot of things get said, trust me, by everybody. So that's not an issue."

I thought this was an interesting quote on many levels.

Shell-shocked.

Well yeah because going 36-15, being an NFL MVP and winning a Super Bowl would be hard on anyone.

Damn that Mike Martz guy.

Oh, incidentally as the Rams HC Martz had 51 wins in 5 seasons.

Went 3-4 in the Playoffs including an OT loss to a certain team from Carolina in 2003.

Thanks Mike! :cheers2:

Would everybody be laughing this off if say, cam newton or Vince young were caught doing this? Just saying.

It would be used to say they aint leaders and have no respect for authority. Theyd be portrayed as malcontents disrespecting their coach no matter how idiotic he was (see Vince Young in Tenn.). But a white guy says this to his coach and people give him props for it. Hes not expected to always be subservient to authority like a Cam or Vince are.

113 sacks in basically 5 seasons (only played 2 games his final season in STL).

I wasn't taking away from anything he accomplished with Martz, but the fact remains that a Martz offense does not lead to the QB remaining upright. Thus, my shell-shocked statement.
