Player Analysis: Carolina vs Atlanta

This. People always wonder why he throws to him so much. I questioned this at first also but I realized that Cam understands his play making ability and thinks highly of him. So If Cam thinks he is capable of being a #2 receiver who are we to question him.

ummm... no. He get's thrown to because he is single covered on EVERY PLAY! thanks to the TE, Smitty, receiving RBs, and a running cam. The fact that he can't ever get any seperation on his man is why he has to make diving catches and can never get any YAC. When cam drops back and everyone is covered and his #2 Wide has single coverage that's where he's throwing. that's the only reason he gets balled thrown to him. He's a good blocker, that is all. I'd really love to see a few plays with pilares or edwards just to have some exceptional speed at the #2 wide. not all the time, just a couple plays.

Summary: We're stuck with nanee for now. can't WAIT till Gettis comes back. He's PERFECT for this offense. IMO

From what I have seen Legs gets wide open atleast 2-4 times a game, while this may be mainly because the defense is way more concerned about our other weapons he ultimately isn't Jarrett, guy can get some separation.

As for YAC, his is an average of 5.9 at home, which isn't terrible.

Legs is pretty decent at running routes and is really good at slipping under a saftey and finding a weak spot in the zone. He will never be the most athletic player or consistently put up big numbers but for now he looks to be our most consistent number 2.

I agree with you though, I hope Lafell or Gettis can step up and take the number 2 and I would like to see Edwards and Pilares involved with the offense.

The Bad

Bryon Bell got beat at least three times by my count; and was charged with a false start, and a holding call. He is defiantly not as good as Otah, at least not in his first season as an undrafted rookie.

They had Ziemba in toward the end of the game.

Just clean-up snaps? Or something else?

Who was he in for? Sorry I didn't notice honestly. It seems like the entire team had really given up on the final drive.

Before that Bell actually helped break off a pretty nice run, but was the only one to really get beat on pass coverage, so I didn't notice Ziemba unless he came in for one of the guards or Gross.

As usual the left side looked stronger then the right.

He was in at right tackle.
