An insignificant observation...

I noticed on the opening kick off, one of the panthers coverage guys went straight at the redskins kick off line and leveled one of their players (not sure who either was). Why in the hell did he do that? Awesome to see the Redskin guy get his dick knocked in the dirt, but why?

I saw that on a few kickoffs. Its like a punch right as soon as the bell rings

i doubt it mattered. kickoff at the 35 pretty much ruins any possible return for us, and when we do bring it out, we don't get any decent blocking to get past the 10 yard line. player safety my ass. remove the wedge fine. but this kickoff poo is useless. just start them at the 20, why even do the kickoff anymore. oh wait, so we can get 2948309480 penalties on the kickoffs too.

wedge buster. its someone job on the kickoff team to run down and take out the wall pf players or bust the wedge.

^^^^^^^ makes no sense we are talking about the lone ranger on our RETURN team that took off straight at the skins kickoff team to bust somebody in the mouth. our other ten guys dropped back. he was the only one that didnt.

    • I thought this presented an interesting point. It is fair to wonder now, about switching the two QBs as so many tried to do that first year where Bryce was trash and CJ looked great.  It is almost the reverse scenario now and I wonder what CJ would look like here with better weapons better coaching and better protection. Overall, compared year one.  If each player had been in the other place for the three years. I would love to see CJ with this team now.  Just to see.
    • I really have no clue what to expect sunday.  To quote one of my favorite bands of all time, Operation Ivy "All I know is that I dont know".  We could win, hell we could win convincingly, we also could lose in blowout fashion.  We could be in a back and forth game with whoever has the ball last winning.  I legit HAVE NO CLUE.  This isnt the dominant bills teams of the past, Allen is still elite and can win any game by himself.  That said, heres my stab at looking at things. Our defense is made to stop this kind of team.  Strong against the run, a great corner but meh talent around the field.  We've stopped prolific run offenses this season.   Javonte Williams - Season low yards and ypa against us. De'Von Achane - Season low yards and ypa against us Breece hall - 3rd worst yards in a game Fact of the matter is, we arent what we were last year, we are a good run defense and that lines up well against the bills, Stop the run.  For once the lack of moving Jaycee might be a good thing, he will essentially lock down a side and without multiple real weapons thats fine.  Buffalo does not have an elite guy, theyve got a gaggle of average dudes.  Allen will stay away from Jaycee, it will be on Mike Jack and Chau Smith Wade do to their part and they will be matched with guys they can play at the level of. On offense, we do what the bills are bad at.  We run the ball well, and they suck at stopping the run.  Rico and Chuba will need 30 carries.  Andy Dalton will need to be opportunistic.  My big fear is what we learned last year, Dalton can get overconfident and make bonehead throws.  Its this simple.  Run the ball, stop the run.  Dont turn the ball over.  If we do these 3 things, we will be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
    • This makes me wish we took a flyer on Quinn Ewers late in the draft
