I had to grin a little bit when my wife was talking today.

Well I would venture to say that most people think they are right when they write their opinions and they try to support them with counterarguments. It sounds like your wife just doesn't care much for debate in general.

I would think that was the point. While I see the Huddle as a place to share thoughts my wife saw it as a place to ensue debate. Even in the process of sharing our thoughts on something as casual as sport, men turn it into a win / lose competition. For my wife she would rather just look at ESPN than come to the huddle as she would want the news and opinions without the ongoing back and forth that a debate entails.

Mainly though I was just pointing out that my wife is probably just like TD's wife.

And of course as a man I had to make a counterpoint to your point...

If only all women were smart enough to see the complete waste of time back-talking their husband is, the world would be a much better place.

All women should be happy about the evolution of male intelligence as well. We as men have made collective strides over the years in sophistication making the act of choosing a mate much easier for women. The safe bets among us will argue every point into the ground and keep score while the not-so-ideal choice for a husband will still bust that ass -caveman style.

Top Dawg's wife and every other wife who has a husband she can't see the point in arguing with anymore are very lucky women.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
